Hi folks,

this is my latest pic. It takes place in 2084, New Mexico. The Tacarian Tower is one of the highest buildings in the world, 1.000 metres high.
Suddenly, the temperature changes, some objects are seen on the radar, and then... booom! A meteorite hail comes down and crahses into the tower.
All people in it die, for them it's the "End of Days", which was the topic of a learning competition on [link] .

The pic shows the time just before everything explodes, the moment before the apocalypse. Hope, you can feel it when you see the picture.
I made it withg Cinema 4D 9.5 XL . You can see additional Details here: [link]

Greetings,
Gentle

Daaamn I remember seeing this in the Cinema 4D R11 manual... Was so excited to try and make fire effects like that only to realize Prime (Back then Core) didn't have Pyrocluster :XD:

When I finally got 12 Visualize, I had asked around about getting fire effects only to have virtually everyone recommend NOT using it and investing in DPIT or TurbulenceFD =/

Great work by the way ^^
Has remained one of my favorite images today.

Awesome
First it grabs you graphically.
Then it keeps you because you wonder where is that place and what is causing the rain of fire.
It lingers in memory.

And welcome to DA theGentle

Thanks guys :)

I did the little meteorites with PyroCluster and composed them in. Postproduction was done in Photoshop 6.0.
